Security & Custody
PolyEdge is non-custodial. Your funds always remain in your own wallet on Polygon — the platform never holds, pools, or moves your assets except by placing the orders you configured.
Authentication
You sign in by signing a Sign-In with Ethereum message. There is no password and the signature costs no gas. Your wallet address is your account identity.
Live-trading credentials
- A wallet private key is required only for live trading — it signs your Polymarket orders. Paper mode never needs one.
- Optional Polymarket API key/secret can be stored for CLOB access.
- All credentials are encrypted at rest and are never shown again in full after you save them. You can remove them at any time in Settings.
Protect your keys
Anyone with your private key controls that wallet's funds. Use a dedicated trading wallet that holds only what you intend to trade — not your main wallet or savings.
Recommended practices
- Use a separate wallet funded with only your trading capital.
- Test every strategy in paper mode before going live.
- Start live with small sizes and tight exposure caps.
- Set a daily-loss limit so a bad day stops itself.
- Remove stored keys when you're done trading live.
